Credai MCHI Raigad developers feel UDCPR will lead to creation of more affordable housing stock

CREDAI MCHI Raigad organized a Training Workshop on UDCPR with special focus on NMMC, PCMC, CIDCO and all Municipal Councils in Raigad region at the Auditorium at Vashi Convention Centre on 10Th February 2021. The event was organized with special focus on NMMC, PCMC, CIDCO and Municipal Councils in Raigad region. The event was attended by around 300 in all from the Builders/Developers, Architects and Planners.

Chief Guest Shri Eknathji Shinde – Hon. Minister for UD GOM was the Chief Guest. He explained in details the various discussions the Ministry had with various Consultants and Stake Holders after which the Department was able to finalize the UDCPR. He said that all officers of UD have worked day n night to ensure that all aspects like Residential/Commercial /Social plan could be formulated in one book.

He assured that all the suggestions will be thoroughly looked into with the concept of Ease of Doing Business. He also stated that this UDCPR was has been formulated in a way that Construction Industry can do clean and transparent business and upgrade the architectural insights in future constructions. The UDCPR would also pave the way for affordable housing for the common man.

Te eminent speakers for the event were, Mr Sudhakar Nangnure- Director Town Planning, Mr. Avinash Patil – JDTP – GOM, and Mr. Prakash Bhukte – EX – JDTP – GOM. These Eminent speakers enlightened the attendees on the various nuances of UDCPR and also responded to various questions of the delegates.

Mr. Soyuz Talib from the Architect’s Association shared a presentation with the Government Officials regarding the suggestions, clarifications and issues of transition policy. The suggestions were well received and the Government officials have assured that they will look into the same positively.

Founder President & Chairman of the Training Workshop Mr. RaajeshPrajapati said that Real Estate industry was going through a rough patch for the last 4 to 5 years. The MVA Government reduced Stamp Duty and has released UDCPR. Both these decisions have been a shot in the arm for Real Estate (Construction Industry) in Navi Mumbai and whole of Maharashtra.

CREDAI MCHI Raigad President Mr. Kiran Bagad thanked all the attendees and hoped that all of them benefitted from the workshop and assured that such events will be organized in future also.
